Favorite Fridays-Alphabet stamps
It is hard to say which one of these alphabet stamps is my favorite, but I think it might have to be the new Handwritten Print (E1030)
Seriously, how cute is that alphabet! It is also the perfect size for titles, or if you wanted your journaling to be a bit bigger it works for that as well. What this picture doesn't show is that it also comes with a lower case of the same font. This allows me to use the lowercase letters to get a title that is a little smaller, but still has that handwritten look. LOVE!
My next favorite is the Framework Alphabet (E1027). This alphabet is fun because it just gives me the outlines of letters in a fun way.
It is a bit smaller than the Handwritten Print stamp set and works on cards as well as for titles to my scrapbooking layouts. Another thing that I LOVE about this stampset is that I have so many options, I can color them in, I can stamp them on patterned paper and cut them out, or I can leave them just as they are. And with the ShinHan Twin Touch Markers that we now sell I have a ton of options for colors.
The last alphabet stamp set that I have been using a lot is the Marquee Uppercase (E1029). I love the bold look of this alphabet stamp set.
I love the blocky, chunky, edgy look of these letters and use them whenever I am wanting to make a bold statement with my title. This stamp set feels like a modern take on your regular old block alphabet and I really like that feeling. Plus it reminds me of my school days and doodling the alphabet when I should be taking notes. I always tried to get that chunky on one side look and now I can just pull out this stamp set and viola I am done.
I hope that you enjoyed this post on my favorite alphabet stamp sets and look for these alphabets in the coming posts to see them in action. Happy weekend!

Chalk It Up Workshop on the Go
I am in love with the Chalk It Up paper and assortments. Because I love the paper and the assortments I went ahead and got the Workshop on the Go (G1081). It comes with the Chalk It Up paper (X7184B), Chalk It Up Assortment (Z3009), an exclusive stamp set that you can only get in this kit, and a full round of Black Striped Twill Ribbon (Z1988). It also inclused a beautiful, full color brochure with easy to follow cutting guides and helpful hints for putting the layouts together. This kit also uses the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge (Z1906), but if you don't have a cricut you can still do this layout by following the alternate cut guide included in the brochure. One reason why I love the Workshops on the Go is that everything I need (except the stamp pads and clear blocks) is included in the kit at a discount. These kits are only $29.95 and that is such a great deal. Here is one of the layouts using this Workshop on the Go:
If you want to get your own kit, just click here. And while visiting my site, don't forget about the specials running this month: FREE #30yearsofhappy stamp set with $30 in stamps and the Stamp of the Month for $5 with any $50 purchase.

September Specials
AH! So it has been awhile, sorry?!? Something about homeschooling, 4 kids, piano teaching and living life got in the way of my Close to My Heart business. So in case you were wondering, I am still here, I am still creating and I am still using Close to My Heart and loving it. I thought that I would just share the two specials that are going on right now with Close to My Heart and then I will come back and show you some of the things that I have been working on, and I may have a few things that are coming up, so make sure you come back (and I will too!).
First off, September is National Stamping month and for the next week you can get the #30yearsofhappy stamp set for FREE. All you have to do is purchase $30 in stamps and this set is yours. Since blogger isn't letting me upload a picture you will have to go here to see what it looks like and while you are there you might as well buy it too :)
(Blogger let me add a photo!)
The second special is the September stamp of the month which is only $5 with a $50 purchase. If you purchase $30 of stamps and $20 of other things you will get #30yearsofhappy free as well as the Stamp of the month for $5. Super savings when you can double dip like that! Remember that blogger problem with pictures, yup still in play so just click here to see what the stamp set looks like and to get yours before the month is over.

The last thing that I wanted to tell you is that the new cricut cartridge is available. It has 700 images just like the other cartridges, still comes with the overlay and is in a bundle that includes 3 stamp sets and a full pack of Daisy White cardstock, which is perfect since this cartridge is all about cards. You can check it out here.
