Use Your Stash blog hop If You Stamp It

Thanks for joining us on this blog hop where we are using some of our scrapbooking stashes.  If you have come from Heather Jane Schmuckal's blog you are on the right track!   This month we are featuring stamps that we bought because we loved them and when they arrived we forgot about them, put them away, or just didn't have a use for them at the moment.  I actually have a ton of stamps like this so it was really fun for me to grab a few and use them.

I used 3 brand new stamps on this layout, each stamps set featured a frame stamp that I used to run down the middle of my layout.  I used Sweet and Lovely from the Artbooking Cricut collection (D1571), a stamp from the Art Philosophy Cricut collection (D1496), and this months stamp of the month, Just Sayin' (S1505).  I also used a few other stamp sets, but I had used them before so I will list them at the end of this post.

This layout sketch came from the Stashbusters class that I took and featured awhile back from Big Picture Classes and I felt it was fitting for this blog hop. I hope you enjoyed this layout and blog hop.  To keep hopping just head over to Shirley Ross's blog.

Super Stashbusters old and new

Challenge 8 in Super Stashbusters was to use some of your oldest stuff with your newest stuff.  I dug around and found some fun metal embellishments that I got close to the beginning of my journey with Close to my Heart almost six years ago.  I have been having so much fun playing with the Hopscotch paper and it is really new to me so I picked that as my new thing.  I also wanted to play with the January stamp of the month so I pulled that out as well. Here is what I ended up with:

I have decided that I love to mix and match things!  One of the reasons I started with Close to my Heart was because everything coordinated which made my scrapbooking easier and faster, but I am loving that I can mix and match and stil create fun and beautiful layouts in a matter of minutes.

August Stamp of the month

So I promised some artwork using the August Stamp of the Month and here it is! I used the stampset along with the Mischief paper pack (X7144B) and the Color Ready Alphabet Cork (Z1450). April Stamp of the Month

I can honestly say that when I first got this stamp set I wasn't feelin' it. Then I started working with it and I fell in love with it! So here is a layout using this awesome stamp set:





I think that what I love the most about this stamp set is that it has bases and fill-ins (I am 100% sure that these are not the correct technical terms for this, but that is what I am calling them!) This means that I can have an outline of a bird and some swirls in one color and the bird stamped in another. This is also useful when you want to give the bird a little dimension, just stamp the bird and cut it out and glue it on with some 3-D foam tape. ALL of the stamp shapes are this way in this stamp set, the flowers, the butterfly, the bird, ALL are this way. I LOVE it!

Anyway, back to the layout. I used the Wings paper pack and a pattern from the book Magic (this is my FAVORITE book of Jeanette's), Vineyard berry, black and juniper ink, and the Bohemian Alphabet (another new favorite!). Here is a close up of the magical element on this page:



Don't you just love the box of extra pictures! I am LOVIN' it. I really like it when I complete a project and it turns out nice. Awww, success. February Stamp of the Month Continued

Okay so last week I shared a home decor item using the stamp of the month for February and today I am sharing a two page layout using the same stamp set. And here it is:

February Stamp of the Month

Happy February everyone! If you haven't checked out the NEW Idea Book just go to my website using the button on the right. There are a ton of new and fun things! I have been having a blast with it thus far and am so excited to keep creating with such wonderful products!



One of my favorite stamp sets is the February Stamp of the Month. It is wonderful for backgrounds when you need an elegant feel. I have done a few projects with it and thought that I would share them with you. Today I will share my new bathroom decorations.



Here is the center piece of my wall art (sorry you have to turn your head to make it right side up!). I used a 12x12 petal cardstock to make the paper rose. I used a White Daisy cardstock, black stamp pad and the February stamp of the month to create the background. For the butterflies I used a Juniper stamp pad and January's stamp of the month.



I also added a little sparkle to the butterflies with a bonding glue pen and some prisma glitter.



My walls are pretty bare and I knew that they needed a little something more, so I decided to use some blank canvas I had laying around. I used two 8x10. I painted them white and then mixed some white paint, Create-a-shade Pearl paint and some Juniper re-inker (so that the butterflies matched the ones I stamped earlier) and a stencil from Walmart.



I am really excited about how these all turned out!
