September Papercrafting Workshop

September's papercrafting workshop is a fun banner to help us get ready for October and Halloween.

Spooky Banner (pg. 49 of the Idea Book) $35
We will be making the Spooky Banner found in the Idea Book. We will be
using the following products:
My Creations Banner Z1378
Mischief Paper Pack X7144B
Dimensional Elements Notable Alphabet Z1682
Midnight Felt Shapes Z1462
We will also be doing the backside of the banner, it will say "thanks"
When: September 10th 8-10 pm
Cost: $35
RSVP: Please RSVP by September 2nd
If you are planning on doing both the scrapbooking AND the papercrafting workshops I suggest getting the Workshop on the go for $29.95 and then just adding the banner and the Dimensional elements. It will be cheaper this way ($42.85 before shipping and tax
compared to $50 after shipping and tax) and you get the stamp set ($13.95) and instructional brochure. It will also leave you $8 shy of getting the September stamp of the month for $5. For those that decide to do both workshops I will pay for your shipping on the workshop materials. So remember to RSVP and let me know! Thanks!

September Scrapbooking Workshop

September is just around the corner so I thought I would post our scrapbooking layouts. I am super excited about these layouts, probably because it helped me get some more older photos scrapbooked! So here is the first layout:

And the second:

(don't you just love that this paper pack doesn't have to be just Halloween? I do!)

In September we will be making both of these layouts using the Mischief paper pack (X7144B) and the Midnight Felt Shapes (Z1462). This month there are a few options when you sign up for the class, so please let me know which option you would like to choose:

Option #1: Mischief workshop on the go G1029 ($29.95 plus shipping and tax)
Includes paper pack, stamp set, midnight felt shapes and instructional
brochure
Option #2: Mischief level 2 paper pack X7144B
Midnight felt shapes Z1462
($18 including shipping and tax)
The workshop will be held on September 24th from 8-10 pm at my house. Please RSVP by the 16th of September. Pair A Phrase

I am so excited about this special. These stampsets are so perfect for making cards. There are plenty of sentiments that go along with the images. Here are a few cards that I made using the stampsets and the Typeset level 2 paper pack (X719B). The cards were made following the Christmas card workshop in the Wishes book (9033).

Remember to get your "Pair-a-Phrase" you just need to order $75 in Close to My Product. Check out this post to see the how to get this stampset and another for FREE. Gotta love FREE!

Stupendous Stamping Specials

There are 3 amazing specials going on right now with Close to My Heart. These specials only coincide for two weeks, so if you are interested you had better hurry! So here is how it works in some easy to do steps:

#1 Purchase $50 in Close to My Heart product and become eligible for the August stamp of the month for $5.

#2 Purchase the August stamp of the month for $5($17.95 value). Your total at this point is $55. And now you get the "a Typeset" stampset for FREE ($6.95 value).

Sweet right, how could this get any better? Well step number 3 is going to tell you how!

#3 Purchase an additional $20 worth of product ($75 before shipping and tax) and you will become eligible to receive a double set of D size stamps. Yes Close to My Heart has put together two D-size stampsets and they are giving them away for free (a $35.90 value). They are called "pair-a-phrase" and the images are so cute and I love the quotes on them.

Awesome right?!?

If you are trying to come up with something to buy (let's be honest that is NOT the hard part with all the amazing product that just came out this month!) why not go ahead and get the Cricut cartridge bundle, Art Philosophy. Remember that this bundle comes with 3 stampsets and 3 chipboard sheets with shapes that match the stamps and the images on the cartridge. I haven't had the time to play with mine yet, mostly because I don't have a cricut :), but I can tell you that I am super excited about it!

Anyway, watch in the next couple of days for some artwork by me featuring the stampsets that you can get for FREE with the $75 purchase, and the August stamp of the month. To order just email me (sharesalarsen@gmail.com) or call (360-619-2580) or click here to make a purchase on my website. As an added bonus I will be giving away a free card using the "Pair-a-phrase" stamp set and Typeset paper for everyone that participates in this months specials.

Elemental Layout

So I am just in love with the Elemental paper pack (X7141B, $9.95). It is so fun to work with and has a ton of different colors to choose from. Like the birthday cards in the last post are mostly cranberry and pacifica while the layout today is focused on creme brulee and lagoon. Today I am sharing a layout that I made using product from the new Idea Book.

These are some fun summer photos from June. (I am not one who scrapbooks in order, I just scrapbook whatever photos fit with my paper and this way I don't feel terribly behind:)
My littles love to have outside time with daddy and the swing set, so I thought I would capture some of these moments so that we can always remember those little things.

Here is a close up of the Color Ready Alphabets Cork (Z1450, $5.95) and the Milepost Shapes (Z1464, $3.95). I LOVE the cork alphabets. They are self adhesive and I can add any darker color I want to them (just allow plenty of time to dry). I love the dimension that both the milepost shapes and the cork give to the layout. So fun! I also used the Bronze glitz glitter gel (Z1483, $2.75) to add a little sparkle. By the way I am in love with this product too! It is like having a bottle of bronze sparkle brads and it is super inexpensive.

Here are some close-ups of the second page. I used the Love Life stamp set (D1482, $17.95) for the stars and also along the top adding a little border to add a little more depth to the layout. (Can you tell I had an awesome class by Tresa Black at convention regarding glitz and depth to scrapbooking?) The Love life stamp set is one that coordinates with the new Cricut Cartridge that is exclusive to Close to My Heart. I will be doing a separate post on that later (once I earn enough money to get me a cricut! Or August 15th when purchasing the cricut cartridge bundle becomes an amazing deal) I also used a stampset that was exclusive to the You and Me kit for the tickets (sorry if you missed it!) To make the ticket that has the date on it, I stamped one of the other tickets and cut it out and used the backside to do add the date. I hope you are enjoying the new products that are available in the new Idea Book. If you haven't yet seen it just click here to see it online. If you want a hard copy just let me know!

Happy Scrapping!
