Pathfinding Workshop in the Go

Yesterday I finally felt the desire to work with the Pathfinding Workshop on the Go. It has been sitting in my pile of to do since the Annual Inspiration came out almost a year ago.  Crazy I know.  Anyway I wanted to share the finished layout with you guys:

I love the workshop on the go series because it allows me to put together an amazing layout in no time at all. The hardest part is finding the perfect pictures for the layout.  Plus thy are a bargain! You get a full paper pack plus some extra cardstock, a stamp set you can't get any other way, and usually two full packs  embellishments. I also like having the instructions for a layout that isn't published anywhere else.  That way I can use other paper and embellishments to make another layout.  If you haven't used a workshop on the go, go to my website and check them out!

Picture My Life Overload

This past weekend I started going through my photos and realized that with the Picture My Life cards I had on hand I could get a ton of photos into one of my albums.  I ended up getting all of my 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 photos all into my Picture My Life album.

This is just a sampling of what I got done and put together.  I am loving the pocket scrapbooking because it is allowing me to get all these photos that did not fit in my regular layouts, or that aren't as good, but still story worthy have a home that is fun and colorful just like my traditional layouts.

Products used:
Lagoon Chevron D-ring album Z2090
Memory Protectors Variety Pack Z3026

Hopscotch Meets Soccer

I know, I know, the Hopscotch paper is retired and you all want examples of layouts using the paper you can still get through my website. I promise to work on something with current papers soon and share next week.

Sorry for the bad pictures, it is an overcast day and I am using my iPod.  Anyway, I had a ton of pictures from when my oldest played soccer in the fall of 2012.  She had fun, but soccer is not her cup of tea, she just wants everyone to feel good and score goals no matter what team they are on.  I used a lot of retired Close to My Heart product: the patterned paper, the Picture My Life Hopscotch cards, and the colored brads.
I love using the Picture My Life cards in a layout, they help with the journaling spots and the title (I can not be the only person who has a problem coming up with titles, please tell me I am not the only one!). Also the Extra Thick Twine is really fun to play with and adds a lot of dimension to layouts and cards. Don't hate me but I like it more than the bakers twine.

If you have a lot of pictures from one event or a lot of pictures you want to group together on one layout check out Close to My Heart's How to Books.  They have so many layouts that use a ton of photos. Another little tip: if you don't have the size of photo called for use more than one photo to fill the spot.  This layout caked for two 5x7s and I didn't have any. I cut two photos to 5x3.25 so that they would fit on the 5x7 photo mat and still have patterned paper all around the photos.

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapbooking!

Use Your Stash blog hop If You Stamp It

Thanks for joining us on this blog hop where we are using some of our scrapbooking stashes.  If you have come from Heather Jane Schmuckal's blog you are on the right track!   This month we are featuring stamps that we bought because we loved them and when they arrived we forgot about them, put them away, or just didn't have a use for them at the moment.  I actually have a ton of stamps like this so it was really fun for me to grab a few and use them.

I used 3 brand new stamps on this layout, each stamps set featured a frame stamp that I used to run down the middle of my layout.  I used Sweet and Lovely from the Artbooking Cricut collection (D1571), a stamp from the Art Philosophy Cricut collection (D1496), and this months stamp of the month, Just Sayin' (S1505).  I also used a few other stamp sets, but I had used them before so I will list them at the end of this post.

This layout sketch came from the Stashbusters class that I took and featured awhile back from Big Picture Classes and I felt it was fitting for this blog hop. I hope you enjoyed this layout and blog hop.  To keep hopping just head over to Shirley Ross's blog.

Happy scrapbooking!

I'm Back!

Sorry for the unannounced break from me and my blogging. The good news I am 22 weeks pregnant and finally feeling good and I am also finally all caught up on everything that went to the wayside while I was sick for three and a half months.

So today I will share some cards that I made using a new product as well as share the special for this month.  Hopefully I will be back later this week with some more artwork.

These three cards were made using the Blossom Workshop on the Go (G1095). If Blossom sounds new to you, it is. It is one of two new paper packs in the Seasonal  Expressions 2. It went live and I never told you guys, sorry! If you want a hard copy of the Seasonal Expressions 2 let me know I have 9 all ready to be mailed out.

May is National Scrapbooking month and Close to My Heart has a fun and bright paper pack with 12 sheets of b&t paper (2 of 6 designs) and is only $8.95.  There is also a special D-sized stamp art available only this month as well and it coordinates with the paper pack.  I do not have any artwork yet but you can go to the Close to my Heart's blog, Instagram or Facebook pages to see artwork.

To order your paper and stamp today just go to my website.

Thanks and happy scrapbooking!
